About The Author

Alastair J. Hatter, author of, It's On and Poppin' and its sequel, The Baddest Chick, was born in Galveston, Texas. Back in the days growing up on Galveston Island, Alastair could not have foreseen how being an island boy would play an important role in his life. Dealing with many difficult lessons in life, the worst being his mom passing away in 1985, he found some serenity in going to the piers on the beach late at night and listening to the sea crash into the walls of the rock piers. Still feeling lost and like no one understood--or could understand--what he was going through, Al took to writing letters to his mom while seated on the pier. He would seal the letters in bottles and send them out to sea in hopes that his mother would reach down from heaven and retrieve them.

Alastair didn't really find out that he could write stories until he was completely down and out and searching for a new way to live his life. After writing a few novels and reading books that told him how he could get published, he submitted to several publishers. Rejections didn't deter him because he knew in his heart and soul that creating stories was his calling. For some reason seeing the book My Woman His Wife gave Alastair a good feeling. He felt that her publisher, Q-Boro Books, would be the perfect place to send his work. He then submitted some of his novels to the very talented Mark Anthony at Q-Boro and the rest is history. Alastair has turned his life around and found something that he absolutely loved to do as a career.

Alastair believes in never giving up on your dreams and always giving 110% till the end, the end being when you are in heaven with God.
