LaTonya graduated from the University of Central Florida with a degree in education. She resides in Florida with her husband and three sons.
Stepping out on faith, LaTonya resigned from her teaching position to raise her family and write on a full-time basis. Her dream was finally realized in May 2004, when she signed a book deal with Carl Weber's Urban Books. Her debut novel, Mixed Messages, received high praise from the publishing industry and debuted on Karibu's Bestseller's List at #4 (4/10/05). Thought to be a thing of the past, her relationship novels have touched the hearts of many. "It is my purpose to write what I know: women struggling to balance faith, family, and friends; while dealing with the harsh realities of life." Currently, she is working on her third novel.
