Seduction. For some, it’s an art, but for Lakeda, it just comes naturally. She has the magnetism to attract anyone she desires—man or woman—and a sexual appetite that knows no fulfillment. Lakeda can go on for hours, titillating and teasing everyone in her path. And it doesn’t matter one bit that people are getting hurt by her games. To Lakeda, it wouldn’t be entertaining without a little pain to go with the pleasure! Then she meets Brian, who loves sex just as much as she does. When the two of them are together, they generate some serious fireworks. But while Lakeda is envisioning a future with this fantasy man, Brian is making plans to give her a taste of her own medicine.

Jiles and Toscha Sessoms are Robin’s parents but because of the physical, verbal and mental abuse that he inflicted on both Robin and her mother, she has no contact with him and very little with her mother. Jiles denied he ever abused Robin and Toscha, who still receives his physical and verbal abuse, knew it happened but convinced herself to believe it didn’t. Then Robin met Nelson. Nelson Bray, a retired big time lawyer, is a divorced father of three. He begins their relationship when he checks into the Gray Pearl and begins to go off because of a mix-up in his reservations that he had created and verbally attacks Robin. Nelson’s behavior triggers something in Robin and while she is insulted by his belligerence she is also turned on and takes a liking to Nelson; so much that she takes every step necessary to make his stay at the Gray Pearl a pleasant one. Robin embarks on getting as much information on him as she can while Nelson puts his plan into action to take Robin’s mind captive and bring out an the alter personality, the shadow that refuses to just be, and breed Rockin' Robin into a killer.
