Nikki and J.R. Marx were just children when their father was murdered. They were too young to know or understand what was going on.  

Eddie Marx and his partner, Pete Barlowe, had built a formidable organization from an ounce of powder and, over the years, turned it into a very profitable drug, gambling, and prostitution operation. At Eddie’s funeral, Barlowe promised their mother, Naomi Marx, that he would take care of her and the children as if they were his own.  

That was fifteen years ago, and since then, Nikki and J.R. have grown up in the game. Working as Barlowe’s enforcers now, Nikki and J.R. Marx are ready to claim their birthright and take over what their father started . . . and maybe have a chance to avenge his murder.
